Our Festival
Whangārei Fringe Festival is a 17-day city-wide celebration of performance, visual arts, comedy, music, theatre, circus, varied workshops and community activity. The programme is surprising, diverse and multifaceted – there is something for everyone – toddlers, elderly, music lovers and late-night comedy enthusiasts. It is a chance to revel in arts experiences created by incredible local and visiting artists. We hope you’ll dive in and participate in this springtime riot! Light up the streets, fill the seats and come along for the ride!

Our 2024 programme will launch on Friday 6th September. From then – our pretty programmes will be all over the city! Head to the What’s On section of our website or download our programme here from 6th September. Physical copies will be available to pick up from ONEONESIX, WDC, Whangārei City Library and Whangārei isite Visitor Centre. We hope you’ll keep it with you at all times – write on it, plan with it, go and see three shows in a night!

Tickets for the Whangārei Fringe Festival 2024 will go live on Eventfinda on Friday 6th September.
You can purchase tickets anytime online from this date as well as from our pop up Fringe Box Office at ONEONESIX open 16th September – 11th October and the Whangārei isite Visitor Centre in Raumanga. Check back here for more information when the programme launches.
All our venues are small and tickets are limited so booking is essential!

The Whangārei Fringe Festival is a city wide celebration of arts and community activity. There are Fringe venues all over town. Watch this space to find out what’s happening where.
